Halo 2 music- what else? |

I can't believe it's already Christmas Eve; it really doesn't seem like time yet. I guess it's here whether I believe it or not, so I might as well enjoy it.
I leave the day after tomorrow, and I can't wait. It'll be hard spending a week without my friends, but I'm really starting to enjoy my family. It's kidna weird, not being pissed at my brothers all the time. But lately, I can't help but love them. David and I have recently become "music buddies" because we always love the same songs, and George finally kind of accepts me as pretty funny. Who knew the Moakley kids would unite?
As for the rest of life right now, I kinda feel like putting it on hold. Everything can wait until I return from vacation.

I just heard something that made me so sad...
My grandfather's brother died today. That would be sad in itself; or so you'd think. Unfortunately, it only gets worse.
This guy did everything bad in the book. From day one he was a swindler, even to his own flesh and blood, and a heavy drinker. He was not the kinda guy you'd expect to be a father or husband, but he was. That didn't change him though, having kids or a family, he kept on being the same old guy.
Since he was such a heavy drinker and smoker, he came down with the inevitible illness and lung cancer that sent him to the hospital. There he couldn't have any drink, so he was an alcoholic going through withdrawl. He became pretty much out of touch with reality, even to the day he died.
Two of his four kids refused to see him even though they knew he was going to die.
His brother, my grandfather, didn't speak with him either.
They aren't having a funeral because no one would go.
The last thing I hear my father say is: " I don't think I'm going to send a card to my dad. Hallmark doesn't exactly make a 'I'm sorry for your loss' card for someone no one even liked."

Mmm so glad winter break has come.
I leave the 26th for disneyland, but i won't be there for my birthday this year. Bring me balloons on the 3rd? It would make it up to me :)
Well i spent like the last 24 hours with Kelley and we saw Ocean's 12. Yeah, that really blew. We left early and then when we were sitting out on a bench this girl came over and started talking to us. She ended up giving us free Garden State T shirt and taking our picture. Kinda weird, but hey, a free shirt :)
I feel so American right now- everything's all right if you get a free shirt out of it.
Tomorrow i'm leaving for the mall early to finish Christmas shopping... Wow i probably should have done that sooner.
I guess for now that's it, I think i might go watch a lame movie. Sounds pretty good right now.

I just got back from Thanksgiving Alive which has to be one of theeee best experiences of my life! Camp is always really fun, but there was just something about this trip.
My group was assigned to La Mesita for our worksite. This was a homeless shelter for families that are currently without a home. We sorted donations, of which there were a LOT, and then spent a lot of time with the kids there.
It was really sad to see all these people who were like missing teeth and wearing used clothes.. but to see them smiling and happy anyways was beautiful. Most of the babies were completely covered in dirt and their own filth, but somehow they were adorable.
I had a great time and met a ton of new people. An exchange student that goes to my church from Denmark, Louise, was there and we hung out a lot. I also met up with old friends that had gone to camp in the past. I still have to get even with Connor for throwing a football at me so many times...Haha I'll get him back eventually.
Showering has never felt so good.
Poverty has never seemed so horrible.
People have never appeared to be so beautiful.
God has never seemed so close.
And I will never be the same.

Mmm wow the past two days have been... ugh.
Well, Tuessday also sucked pretty badly. That's really where it all started. With that substitute in 4th and 5th period. Basically, she gave my 1984 group permission repeatedly, both written and verbally, to go to the library. Then when we get back she says we didn't have permission, we were late, we "continued to be disruptive" and got nothing done, and that we had been skipping class.
Umm, yeah. That sounds ABOUT right.
^sarcasm at it's finest.
Then Mrs. Williams, who apparently has all of 0 faith in any of us, decided it would be appropriate to write up a referral for all 4 of us. I won't name the other three because it might embarrass them...? Luckily, however, Mr. R was subbing in for Mrs. Schelling and we finally got to say our side of the story.
Now I have two lunch detentions. Wahoo. Better than 2 all day ISI's.
Then when I got home I discovered we have no kitchen. The sink, dishwasher, and 4 cabinets/drawers had been ripped out of their place. In there stead there were 3 large, extremely noisy machines, whose purpose was to dry out the area. We had some kinda leak.
It could be this way for 4-6 WEEKS.
Washing dishes in the bathroom is... weird.

Wow the past few days have been a blur.
A mostly positive blur, but a blur all the same.
Mostly, my days have been filled with the Halo 2 music in the backround.
Oye, I have such nerd brothers. Hehe Georgie told me a funny story-
So he was in one of his classes and two boys sitting a few rows up from him were talking kinda quietly. Then a girl came up to them and asked, "What are you two talking about?" Then she said "Halo 2?? What nerds!"
After she said that, just about every boy turned and looked and said "Halo?"
Hah. I guess it's a guy thing?
Tonight there's Improv at Mountain Pointe which I'm so going to. Ty is the funniest person I know, and the whole troup is hella good, including George. He is pretty much the reason I'm going anyway.
Plus Hannah and I get to be James Bond! Haha babe i <3 you!

Someone cheated their way out of life.
Suicide is the most selfish thing i've ever known... did he think no one would be affected? Did he really believe it was the best choice?
There's nothing to say. Nothing to think. Nothing to do.
To see someone i look up to and who dwarfs me, crying... he never cries. This was not sobbing. Not a tantrum. Tears of sadness and mourning.
I feel like breaking down.
The weird thing is... I didn't know him. Why does death cause so much pain?

not too much has happened lately, but i feel i have some kind of commitment to write in this thing, now that i have started it.
halloween was fun stuff. haha in the car when i was on the way to kelley's house to get ready david was being soo funny. not intentionally though.

after all pilling into kelley's moms car and going to tierney's house, we all set out to trick or treat. we met up with connor, joey, and eric and went with them for a while.
later, we met up with kyle, kyle, bryn and riley and they came with us for the rest of the night. then we went to kyle's house where we raided his fridge. or, at least, i did.
then kyle's little brother (so cute!) came home and was with riley's little brother (even cuter!)
then we went back to tierney's, and then went home.

well yesterday, sunday, i went to church and dinner with the family. My cousin alec was there which was weird cuz i haven't seen him in sooo long.
After dinner tierney came over and spent the night! yipee :0) we had the besssssssssst time and connected with our czech-ness. hehe david was on the phone with casey and we all laughed at the way she pronounced czech
"i sounded it out. ch-ZeCKKK" haha what a blonde
we connected by making kolaches. yummy :0) we decided we're going to be czech for our mini town thing. however the czech dress... dunno.
Then today when we woke up at like 11 there was soooo much going on. the washer and dryer were installed and my housekeeper was here. then the window washers showed up. so we went on a lovely trip on our **stylish** beach cruisers. score.
haha then we ATTEMPTED to do our math pre test. so much for that. kyle wasn't much help as we found out, but we still had a lot of fun.
"this is my current event? its on volcanoes? a lot of people got hurt? its a tradgedy? that concludes my current event?"
HA i love you tierney... one who has intercorse with trees! lol! that was sooo funny!
then i went to the lovely kelley's house were we pursued math and other crap and had pizza. YUM
